We are a club, 50 strong of predominately retired hams, living on the east coast of Vancouver island about 150 km north of Victoria. We formed this general interest club in 1991. Every second year we offer the "Basic Amateur Certificate Course". We participate in the usual ham activities such as area swap shops, bunny hunts and the annual Field Day contest as practice toward providing Public Service and Emergency Communications .
We hold an informal 'Coffee Clache' at 10 am. each Saturday at the Qualicum Foods, Qualicum, Mezzanine floor. If you are in our area we invite you to drop by and relate your ham experiences.
September through June, we hold club general meetings at 1930 hrs on the second Tuesday of each month at Oceanside Middle School, Wright rd. Parksville. These meetings take the form of a brief business session followed by some sort of activity or presentation.
You can 'tour' of our area by following the links offerred by the [ Parksville / Qualicum Beach Tourism Association ]
When you are in our area, call us on the one of our local repeaters.
